Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of LearnZo and all associated services. By creating an account or accessing the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before using LearnZo.

The service

LearnZo is an interactive coding-education platform. A free account gives you access to the first lessons of every course (currently 5 per course), the community forum, cheatsheets, and gamification features such as XP, streaks, and badges.

LearnZo Pro unlocks every lesson across all courses and languages, unlimited AI hints, and new completion certificates. We continuously improve the platform, which means features may be added, changed, or removed over time.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication or a passkey in Settings. You must be at least 13 years old to use LearnZo. If we discover that an account has been created by a person under this age, we reserve the right to terminate it without notice. You may delete your account yourself at any time via Settings.

Access & billing

LearnZo Pro is available as a one-time payment for a fixed access period — for example 3, 6, or 12 months. There is no automatic renewal. Your access ends at the close of the period you purchased, and you may purchase a new period at any time. When your period ends you return to the free tier; your XP, streaks, badges, progress, and earned certificates remain yours.

Payment is processed securely by Stripe and supports major cards and local payment methods such as iDEAL and Bancontact. Prices displayed on the platform include applicable VAT where required by law. You will receive a payment receipt immediately after your purchase.

Right of withdrawal & refunds

Under EU consumer protection law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital products. By completing your purchase and immediately accessing LearnZo Pro content, you expressly request early performance of the contract and acknowledge that you thereby waive your right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

Notwithstanding the above, we offer a goodwill refund within 3 days of purchase if you are not satisfied. To request a refund, contact us at support@learn-zo.com with your order details within that period. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Code execution

Lessons let you run real code in an isolated sandbox on our infrastructure. This feature exists for learning. You agree not to use it to attack systems, mine cryptocurrency, run denial-of-service workloads, attempt to escape the sandbox, or execute any other abusive workload. We apply resource and rate limits and may block accounts that abuse the runner.

AI features

AI hints are generated by a large language model based on your exercise code. They are provided as learning assistance only: AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading, and is not professional advice. Free accounts get a limited number of AI hints per day; Pro accounts get unlimited hints. We may adjust these limits to keep the feature sustainable.

Community & moderation

The Build & Break forum and lesson Q&A are shared spaces. Posting requires agreeing to the Forum Rules, which form part of these terms. Be respectful, stay on topic, and never post other people's personal information.

We moderate the community and may edit, remove, or lock content that violates the rules, and restrict or revoke forum access (including permanently) for repeated or serious violations.

Gamification & certificates

XP, streaks, badges, and titles are earned through genuine learning activity. We may correct or reset values obtained through bugs, automation, or abuse, and we may rebalance how they are earned as the platform evolves.

Completion certificates are PDF documents issued by LearnZo showing your name, the course, and the completion date. They are great for portfolios and CVs but are not accredited by any external body, and we make no claims about their formal recognition.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use LearnZo for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the platform. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, probing or bypassing security measures, distributing malware, scraping content without permission, creating accounts by automated means, and circumventing any technical measure designed to protect the platform or its users.

Intellectual property

All content on LearnZo — including course materials, lessons, exercises, code examples, and branding — is the intellectual property of LearnZo or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from platform content without prior written consent. Code you write yourself in exercises and capstone projects remains your own.

User-generated content

By posting content on LearnZo — including forum posts, replies, questions, and reviews — you grant LearnZo a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content as part of the service. You retain ownership of what you create. You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

Termination

LearnZo reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the platform or its community. Where reasonable, we will warn you first. You may close your account at any time through Settings; termination does not entitle you to a refund outside the refund policy above.

Disclaimer of warranties

LearnZo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the platform's reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LearnZo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data or loss of profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of LearnZo after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
